untold history

This book had some great information especially the blackness confederates. Information technology's not about race as many today deem it to exist. It's part of this country history! Y'all need to get into this book as a "dry sponge" and take in history you may not know. A very corking listen.

Say what you want, Johnson does a keen task

What did yous love best about The Politically Incorrect Guide to the South (and Why it Will Ascension Again)?

I was pleased to see some very positive reviews from the North E on this title, and very disappointed to see the negative review from my abode state of SC (most likely from a W.J. Cash fan). Stated, I purchased the volume and enjoyed the first chapter immensely. Having grown up in the culture, Johnson nailed it down solid in that chapter. Also, having to accept spent a fair amount of time in NY and NJ, he also pegged the shared view that many of us who take had to practice business there, share. Regardless of where you at from in the world, this is cracking book for agreement why true Southerners think the way they do. Deo Vindice forever and God relieve the South!

What other volume might you compare The Politically Incorrect Guide to the South (and Why information technology Will Rising Once more) to and why?

The South Was Right and some of the short essays from Dr. Hill's library on Gilded Circumvolve civilisation.

Which character – as performed by Dianna Dorman – was your favorite?

She's good - a little metered, merely easy to heed to and I enjoy her vocal style.

If you were to make a motion picture of this book, what would the tag line be?

"The Lost Cause - that once was Lost, only now is Found"

Whatsoever boosted comments?

Vivid volume - excellent

Tubby Bearded Guy reference earned an extra star

I have to be careful when writing this review because Clint Johnson was a friend and classmate of mine at the University of Florida. As a fan of mystery/thrillers I establish this book a little hard to go through at times. But I did learn some interesting stuff. I didn't know Lincoln tried to recolonize slaves to other countries after the state of war. I didn't know the Emancipation Proclamation primarily freed slaves only in Confederate States. I learned I can at present refer to Clint as a TBG (Tubby Bearded Guy) because he participates in Civil War reenactments. At times the book seemed somewhat anecdotal but knowing how tediously Clint researches his textile I feel confident that information technology is fact based. I got somewhat of an eerie feeling knowing that the ultra left has kicked upward its attempt to rewrite history since this book was written a decade ago. Clint was very prescient in having a experience of what was to come in this area. I could have done without the 2 or three seemingly interminable listings of colleges and universities that were ranked highly and located in the S. Lists mostly do not were well in audio books. I besides grew a bit weary of hearing about books and movies I'm not supposed to read or watch without really knowing why. Presumably they bandage the Due south in a more than positive light that you might await (or the North in a less positive one). If I was a Southern history buff, this book would take generated five stars. One final circumspection. A book you're non supposed to read: "The Politically Wrong Guide to the Southward (and Why it Will Rise Again), written past Clint Johnson, release date:01-11-07, Publisher: Blackstone Sound, Inc.

big lie lives on.

deplorable. very sad. if a poor reader believes this hogwash... one is to believe that the old south was made america. that the old due south was a pleasant time and identify. nevermind slaves and the evil done. nevermind that southern conferate states constitutions stated slavery forever. the south could have ended slavery just chose to boxing, dice for it. they got what they deserved as God stood with the northward, not with the south.

Could not make information technology pass the start ii chapter

I'thou not a fan how the book starts out. I thought information technology would have more facts rather opinions on why the s is so great. I live in the south I love the south and I agree that it is slap-up. However, statements should have more facts to back up them. Like I said I did not make information technology pass the starting time ii chapters. So many it gets better merely not for me.

I'g from the due north

I'grand from the north and growing up learning almost slavery in Massachusetts was a anarchism and I knew information technology wasn't right so I did a piffling searching and decided to look at another point of view and got a lot of answers that were for the most part very similiar to what I thought. Great Book!
